Chris Jericho talks to Roman Reigns on a regular basis and recently revealed that the former Universal Champion is doing well.

We are well and truly in that time of year where wrestling news comes at us thick and fast. The Royal Rumble is less than two weeks away, and that means the road to WrestleMania is about to begin. On top of that, there is the launch of brand new promotion All Elite Wrestling to keep an eye on.

Aside from the passing of 'Mean' Gene Okerlund at the turn of the year, 2019 has been a pretty great year for wrestling so far. Fans across the world will be hoping that one of the highlights of 2019 comes in the form of Roman Reigns returning to the ring. Back in October 2018, Reigns revealed live on Raw that he was battling leukemia.

Reigns has naturally been absent from WWE ever since as he goes about his treatment and focuses on getting healthy. He is in contact with a few of his friends from the business though, and every now and again we hear a little snippet of news about how The Big Dog is doing. The latest of those snippets came from Chris Jericho. Y2J provided an update on Reigns while talking with Chris Van Vlietspoke of WSVN-TV Entertainment.

"He's doing his treatment, and I think things are going really well," Jericho told the reporter. AEW's newest signing revealed that he is in a group chat with Reigns and also messages him privately on a regular basis. "We love him, and I think it's just a matter of time before he comes back, Y2J went on to say, adding that the most important thing is he gets healthy for his family.

Reigns close friend and Shield-brother Seth Rollins has also provided updates on Reigns in the last couple of months. Although he or Jericho have not gone into any specifics, the word always is that Reigns is doing well. We also echo Y2J's sentiments that the most important thing for Reigns to do is to get well for his family. However, we sincerely hope he returns to the ring one day, and we can't wait for that day to come.
