Christopher Daniels has been a part of a lot of firsts in Ring Of Honor and is very proud that he will always be a part of the promotion's history.

Current Ring Of Honor Six Man Tag Team Champion Christopher Daniels has done an incredible amount during his long and storied career. Despite recently turning 48 and making his debut 25 years ago, he is still at the top of his game and will defend his title alongside the rest of SoCal Uncensored in what will be a grueling ladder match at Supercard Of Honor XII this Saturday.

Despite all of the history that Daniels has made over the course of his career and the number of promotions he has wrestled for, his work for ROH is what he is most known for. Not only is Daniels currently a champion in the promotion, but he competed in ROH's first ever main event all the way back in 2002 and recently became their first ever Grand Slam Champion.

During an exclusive interview with TheSportster, Daniels discussed how much it means to him to have achieved those firsts for ROH. "There are things that I’ve done, that I’ve been a part of that can never be taken away from me. Being in the first main event [in Ring of Honor History], that’s never going to change. Being the first grand slam champion, that’s history for me." That main event was a big one. A triple threat match between Daniels, Low Ki, and none other than a young Daniel Bryan.

SoCal Uncensored Six Man Tag Title win is what made him ROH's first ever Grand Slam Champion and it was actually touch-and-go or whether he would achieve the feat before Matt Taven at one point. "Matt Taven had held three of the titles as well, and he only really needed the world championship, so there was that opportunity for him last year when I had the title, and he and I had a match for the world championship. So I was well aware that either Matt or myself could be grand slam champion," he told The Sportster.

As Daniels pointed out though he was the first and no one will ever be able to take that away from him. There will be other Grand Slam Champions in ROH but he will always be the first. As touched upon above though he and SoCal Uncensored will be defending those Six Man Titles at Supercard Of Honor XII on Saturday in a ladder match against The Young Bucks and Flip Gordon, a match not to be missed.
