There have been no fewer than fifteen WWE PPVs in 2018. Now they're all out of the way, here is a look back on how we closed some of them out.

We seem to remember that at some point in 2018, WWE promised us that we would be getting fewer PPVs. A weird promise to make, right? You'd think the more the better. Well, at least that's what Vince McMahon thinks. He proved that by vowing to give us fewer PPVs this year and then went ahead and aired fifteen of them anyway.

Some of them happened so long ago that you have likely forgotten them. Then there are others that were so bad you've erased them from your memory, or at least wish you had. Take the one below, for example. Anyone who watched this year's Royal Rumble will not have forgotten how it ended. Asuka won the first ever women's Royal Rumble match, and then Ronda Rousey spoiled the celebrations. The night ended with The Rowdy One gesturing to the WrestleMania sign, as you can see.

You may well have forgotten how the next two PPVs ended, or even what they were called. Elimination Chamber and then Fastlane for those of you struggling to remember. Fastlane ended with AJ Styles successfully defending his WWE Title against five other Superstars. Feels like that happened longer ago than 2018 doesn't it?

Of the 15 images, and you can check out all them at imgur, a third of them feature Roman Reigns looking dejected. Mostly because The Big Dog has spent most of his 2018 being beaten by Brock Lesnar. However, even in the two PPV main events Reigns won in 2018 he looks dejected. The most surprising is his Universal Title win at SummerSlam. In fairness to him, he had probably gotten so used to being beaten by Lesnar at that point he didn't know how to react.

Even though we are personally not fans of WWE breaking kayfabe so that a bunch of Superstars can be on stage together, our pick of the bunch is the closing shot of Evolution. Not only is it a nice reminder of how great a show it was, but notice how Becky Lynch is nowhere to be seen. That's no accident. WWE received criticism for having The Man stand alongside Rousey at this point. However, that did not happen until after the show went off the air.

A great year for wrestling if we do say so ourselves, and these photos are a reminder that even though WWE doesn't always get it right, it does some of the time. There are more endings we liked out of the fifteen than ones we didn't.
