If you know about All In, you know the name refers to the biggest independent wrestling show possibly ever produced by a former WWE Superstar who's trying to prove there is life beyond WWE. So far, that wrestler, Cody Rhodes, has been beyond successful and when news broke that another former WWE Superstar, CM Punk, might make an appearance at his show, things really got interesting. Then, when Punk showed up backstage at the All In press conference, things went from interesting to almost chaotic.

Punk is not rumored to return to professional wrestling and is scheduled for a UFC bout in June. Yet, his name continues to pop up in circles around the All In event. When he showed up backstage, the organizer of the press conference, Jenn Sterger said about Punk's appearance, "if they knew you were back here, they would literally tear down the front of the store."

Sterger appeared on the Collider Bodyslam podcast and explained that Punk was simply there picking up merchandise from Pro Wrestling Tees, but his presence alone was enough to get people talking. She said about fans who are going to be heading to the All In show in September, “If you got your tickets at face value for this event, I’m just saying it literally might be the best in the world."

This show is going to be a big-time event and as the weeks roll along, and the names added to the weekend get longer and more distinguished, the show is taking on a life of its own. Punk's appearance would put it over the top.

Punk being connected to All In isn't new, however. He's scheduled to be part of a meet and greet signing in Chicago the night before the event. While that appearance isn't technically connected to the show, it hasn't stopped people from speculating he may show up and cause a ripple in wrestling that could change things for independent promotions everywhere.
