CM Punk cut a promo for his appearance at Starrcast III this Saturday and, while unorthodox, it effectively teased what's to come with a live mic.

Punk hasn't been in a wrestling ring (not counting the rumored appearance under a mask) in a long time. As such, his in-ring promo to tease what might happen when he appears at Starrcast III this Saturday was fitting. Punk was inside a Pro Wrestling Tees ring and played off the idea that he was rusty and had no idea what he was going to do when he appeared in front of wrestling fans for the first time in a long time.

Acting confused as to how he would sit in the ring and seemingly uncomfortable running the ropes and taking bumps, Punk acted as though he wasn't sure what to do when it came to being a "professional wrestler" any longer.

Punk said, looking at the camera, "Should I be Phil or CM Punk?" He then went on to talk about how he'll be a Starrcast with a live mic and has no idea what he's going to say, no script and no plan. In the past, that sort of thing has gotten him into trouble and he's hoping to avoid that happening.

What This Means

Fans are eagerly awaiting Punk's appearance and will be hanging onto every word he says, hoping he spills a few quotes that will tease a return to wrestling or that he'll say something to run down WWE or wrestling. Almost every word Punk says these days is dissected and discussed by wrestling media everywhere.

Punk seemed to have a jovial attitude as he did a summersault roll and told Conrad he took a bump which was worth at least $20,000. It's good to see Punk seems excited about his appearance because fans are certainly excited he'll be at the conference.
