Not a person with a reputation for keeping many friends, it appears CM Punk has made another enemy. Former best friend, Colt Cabana, is suing Punk for over $1 million for lying about helping with Cabana's legal fees.

The Chicago Sun Times reports that Colt Cabana (Scott Colton) is trying to recover portions of the $513,736 worth of legal bills that built up as Cabana tried to defend himself from a lawsuit filed by WWE doctor Chris Amann.

Cabana was named in a suit that Amann filed over defamation charges related to Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast in which Punk appeared and verbally tore into Amann for treatments (or lack thereof) regarding injuries Punk was facing while a wrestler for WWE. Punk and Cabana ended up winning the lawsuit, but the legal fees added up.

Cabana has filed the lawsuit against Punk in Cook County Circuit Court for breach of contract and fraud. He claims Punk promised to help him out with legal bills from the trial and that in a text, Punk said Cabana would be "100% covered." When Cabana reached out for help, asking for just half of the unpaid bills, Punk allegedly responded with, "You are on your own."

Cabana has a successful podcast and still wrestles on the independent wrestling scene, but $256,868 is a lot of money for Cabana who likely would have tried to settle the case if he had known financially, he would be on the hook. The lawsuit claims, "Brooks acted with fraud, malice and oppression toward Colton, with the deliberate intention of causing Colton harm."

Colt is asking for $200,000 in general damages, plus $1 million in punitive & exemplary damages, according to the lawsuit filing.

Cabana and Punk have long been known as extremely close friends. While their relationship has seen its share of ups and downs, they were noted to have been sticking together through the trial. If all of this is true, it appears now that Punk is in the clear, he has no intentions of living up to his promises.
