Conrad Thompson made a tempting offer to WWE after they informed him that The Undertaker would not be appearing at Starrcast II.

Starrcast was a huge success last year and the second edition is set to be even bigger. The convention will be piggyback off of AEW's first show, Double Or Nothing next month. A seemingly endless list of names has been announced for the event including Ric Flair, Jim Ross, and Taz. The biggest attraction was going to be The Undertaker, but that plan has unfortunately been nixed.

It was obvious from day one that WWE was not happy about The Deadman being a part of the Starrcast proceedings. So much so that they eventually pulled the plug on it and he will no longer be at the convention. Conrad Thompson, the mastermind behind Starrcast, recently explained the entire back and forth he had with WWE regarding The Undertaker to Sports Illustrated.

The most interesting part of Thompson's exchange with WWE was who he tried to get as a replacement. After being told that he couldn't have anyone from the main roster, Thompson asked whether the replacement could be Vince McMahon. A bold move, and one that WWE apparently considered, even if it was for a very short amount of time.

"I suggested Vince McMahon, Hunter, or Stephanie McMahon, and I said I would donate 100 percent of the proceeds to Conor's Cure and match the donation personally," Thompson explained. Sounds like a fair deal to us, and one that you would have thought would be hard to turn down for WWE. Thompson revealed on The Taz Show that the donation would have likely been in the ballpark of $250,000.

Annoyingly for all parties involved, WWE said no. Even more annoyingly, as it stands, The Undertaker has still not been replaced. Despite having a contract in place, Thompson has sadly almost admitted defeat, revealing that WWE now appears to be ducking his calls. He has also tried to make Shawn Michaels the replacement, but it sounds as if that is a dead end too.
