The Dallas Cowboys have finally made a big offseason move, signing former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver, Allen Hurns - according to Josina Anderson of ESPN:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport added that it's a two-year contract for Hurns, who spent his first four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released by the team earlier in the week, following a down year.

Hurns had just 39 catches for 484 yards and two touchdowns in 2017, though the Jaguars did reach the AFC Championship Game. He's two years removed from a big 2015 season, where Hurns caught 64 passes for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns. Hurns has come nowhere close to those numbers since.

But he should get a chance to his old form with the Dallas Cowboys, who boast a top quarterback in Dak Prescott, 2016 rushing leader Ezekiel Elliott, Pro Bowl wideout Dez Bryant and future Hall of Famer tight end, Jason Witten.

The Cowboys finished just 9-7 and missed the playoffs in 2017, as Elliott's suspension and a sophomore slump for Prescott contributed to a down year. With the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl and the New York Giants signing big free agents, the Cowboys had to make a splash.

Some of Hurns' struggles can be attributed to injury, as he's missed nine games over the past two years. Quarterback Blake Bortles also struggled at times in 2016 and '17 as well, which obviously affected some of Hurns' production.

The Cowboys generally own one of the best offenses in football, and the addition of Hurns - a speedy threat who is dangerous over the middle of the field - should only boost it in 2018. The NFC East is known for its high-powered offenses, and the rich only got richer in this case.

If Hurns can regain his 2015 form, then he'll set himself up nicely for a big pay day in 2020 free agency.
