Curt Hawkins 269 match losing streak is finally over after he and Zack Ryder won the Raw Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania.

The most famous streak in WWE history came to an end five years ago at WrestleMania XXX. After winning 21 straight WrestleMania matches over the course of his career, The Undertaker lost to Brock Lesnar. It stunned an entire stadium of fans into silence and was a moment that no one watching at the time will ever forget.

At this year's WrestleMania, a very different streak was on the line. During the kickoff shows, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder competed in a match against The Revival. If the former could win, not only would they become Raw Tag Team Champions, but it would also mark the end of Hawkins' 269 match losing streak.

The last time Hawkins won a match was all the way back in November of 2016. That's right, well over two years ago. Well, not anymore. Not only did Hawkins and Ryder win at WrestleMania, but it was the man with the longest losing streak who got the pin. After suffering a brainbuster from Scott Dawson outside the ring, the now former champion dragged Hawkins back between the ropes and began to toy with him.

That will be a decision Dawson is regretting right about now. Hawkins wasn't as out of it as the former champ thought. The former loser rolled up Dawson for a three count and finally brought the curtain down on his 269 match, 29 month long losing streak. If that wasn't enough, Hawkins and Ryder are now Tag Team Champions, the first time they have held titles together in more than a decade.

It may not seem like it right now, but there are actually a couple of downsides to Hawkins and Ryder winning at WrestleMania. For starters, once they lose the titles, Hawkins will likely fade into obscurity. He has admitted to begging Vince McMahon to keep his losing streak going on occasions where the boss wanted to end it. The Revival's loss will also spark fresh rumors that the two of them are headed for the WWE exit.
