The Green Bay Packers are enduring one of their worst seasons in franchise history, and it cost head coach Mike McCarthy his job following Sunday's shocking home loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

And the whole saga in Green Bay has drawn the ire of Cleveland Browns cornerback Damarious Randall, whom the Packers traded in the offseason in exchange for quarterback DeShone Kizer.

"They traded away all their good players and they expect Aaron Rodgers to just be magical,"Randall said, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. "The magic hasn't been so magical lately. But other than that, I don't know."

Randall was drafted with the 30th pick by the Packers in 2015. He spent three years with the Packers, and got to see Rodgers' talents firsthand. But it's all come crashing down in 2018, and perhaps the firing of McCarthy was only the start of what will be an offseason full of changes in Green Bay.

"I've got nothing but the utmost respect for him (McCarthy), Randall added. "I just wish him the best. I don't know why they fired him. He's definitely a good, good guy, and he's a great coach."

2018 will mark the first time the Packers miss the playoffs in consecutive years since 2005 and '06. Not only that, but it'll be the first time in 10 years where Green Bay misses the playoffs in a season in which Aaron Rodgers played the entire season.

He missed most of 2017 because of a broken collarbone injury, and the Pack finished 7-9 and saw their eight-year playoff streak come to an end.

McCarthy is undoubtedly one of the best head coaches in all of football, but the Packers knew they had to make some form of a change. Joe Philbin is the interim coach for the remainder of the season. If all goes well, the Packers might consider giving him the head coaching gig for next year.

What This Means

Randall experienced some success under McCarthy during his time in Green Bay. They won three playoff games and advanced to the 2016 NFC Championship Game, losing to the Atlanta Falcons in a blowout.

The Packers have only fallen more and more since Randall suited up for Green Bay a year ago. Because of that, it's easy to understand why he's highly critical of what has gone down in Titletown this year.
