Impact Wrestling has released a new ad for Slammiversary including references to multiple wrestlers who recently departed WWE.

Last year, a little more than 90 days after WWE released more than 40 of its Superstars and employees, a number of them returned to the ring at Slammiversary. Impact's biggest show of the year fell perfectly in the calendar, allowing anyone who had been released to appear on the show since their 90-day non-compete clauses had expired just days before.

WWE released ten more Superstars a year to the day that it released 40 last year. Once again, Slammiversary will take place just a few days after those non-compete clauses come to an end. Impact is already running ads for the show, including one released this week that teases the arrivals of multiple released WWE Superstars.

Some of the hints are more obvious than others. The inclusion of footage featuring Chelsea Green and Samoa Joe, for example. Since both have competed in Impact before, the promotion has footage of them they can legally use. Other hints are a little more subtle. The inclusion of an Australian flag, for instance. which is presumably a reference to Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.

The biggest hint in the ad is one many fans watching might have missed. A reference to Daniel Bryan whose WWE contract expired a few weeks ago. The reference takes the form of a yes sign, and it flashes on screen for a split second. Watch the ad again above and see if you can spot it. The sign makes its appearance at the 21-second mark. Needless to say, Bryan showing up at Slammiversary would be a massive coup for Impact.

Just because all of those references have made the ad doesn't mean they will all show up at Slammiverary, of course. The same campaign last year featured a Bulgarian flag in reference to the then-recently released Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute has since become Miro and signed a contract with AEW. However, the mere tease that some of the names hinted at will show up is enough to get fans watching Slammiversary who wouldn't have tuned in otherwise.
