If there's one performer in WWE who probably can't afford to suffer a concussion, it's Daniel Bryan. Unfortunately, it seems like he did. How serious is it?

It was reported earlier this week that Daniel Bryan was cleared to return to the ring after missing action post-WrestleMania 35. It was good news to hear that whatever was ailing Bryan was not so serious that he was going to be out of action for a long time. Unfortunately, the bad news is, Bryan was diagnosed with another concussion, according to Wrestling Observer Radio.

They are reporting that Bryan did sustain a concussion and with Bryan's past history with concussions, WWE was proceeding cautiously. They weren't about to hide the injury, but needed to know how serious it was, considering Bryan had missed three years with the consequences related to many concussions in the past.

WWE is looking at a couple of positives here. First, Bryan was not out long before being cleared despite this being a concussion. Second, that it took him so long to suffer another one after initial concern of letting him come back to WWE at all is a positive sign. Obviously, they wish he didn't suffer one and they will have to move cautiously forward from here on in, but everyone got lucky here.

What This Means

WWE will probably have no choice but to move Bryan to a lighter schedule. He's got a new contract but has been wrestling a lot since returning, far more than he ever thought he would be. Speculation is that they will move him down to 50-100 matches per year versus the standard schedule a WWE performer takes on.

Bryan has already stated he doesn't want to be away from home so much and with an injury scare, it's time WWE finally does the right thing as far as Bryan and his health is concerned.
