Diamond Dallas Page is in the business of saving former pro wrestlers, and next on the list is Raven.
If you have ever heard Diamond Dallas Page give an interview then you'll know that for him, life after wrestling has revolved around one thing, yoga. DDP Yoga to be exact. The former WCW Champion originally started the program to help himself stay in shape once he had stepped away from the ring, now thousands around the world swear by it, including a fair few pro wrestlers.
The DDP Yoga program is about more than just yoga. It's about adopting a healthy lifestyle, and DDP has actually used it to save the lives of a couple of his close friends. Page took in former WWE Superstars Jake Roberts and Scott Hall when they were at their lowest and basically built them back up with the help of his program. Roberts has even admitted he wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for DDP.
Now another wrestler is on DDP's radar, Raven. Although not in the same dark place that Roberts and Hall were in, a life of hardcore wrestling has left the former ECW Champion in bad shape. He was told by one doctor that he has the worst shoulders he has ever seen, and only has only had one of them replaced since then. He also has type two diabetes.
DDP likes to document his journeys, or rather the journeys of those he helps, and even made an entire documentary about Roberts' recovery. It would appear that Raven's journey will be documented via YouTube episodes, the first of which you can check out above. It's plain to see that Raven isn't in the best shape, and you can tell that decades between the ropes have really taken their toll on his body.
Raven's journey begins now though, and if he sticks to DDP's program then the future will be bright for him. In the video, he openly admits that he has tried DDP Yoga in the past a couple of times but ended up giving up on it. He's banking on that not happening again with DDP by his side.
