The WWE Universe went into WrestleMania 34 wondering if it would be Brock Lesnar's last match in the WWE, as his contract was set to expire and Dana White said he would be returning to UFC.

But Lesnar squashed Roman Reigns to retain his title, and WWE announced the following day that the Universal Champion had signed a new deal with the WWE. Dave Meltzer has reported that Lesnar's new contract is short-term, so it remains to be seen if The Beast Incarnate will be around for the long run.

While many details on Lesnar's contract are unknown, Billi Bhatti of DirtySheets.net is reporting that the Universal Champion will make $500,000 a year, $100,000 for every television appearance and six percent of merchandise sales.

Multiple sources have also reported that Lesnar's WWE deal will allow him to fight in the UFC, though it's unknown when he'll return to the octagon. He was suspended by NSAC in Dec. 2016 for one year after testing positive for clomiphene. In Feb. 2017, Lesnar announced his retirement from the UFC, though it appears as though he had a change of heart.

Lesnar is set to defend his Universal Championship against Reigns once again at next Friday's Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There have been rumors of him facing Bobby Lashley at the Aug. 19 SummerSlam pay-per-view, but that obviously remains to be seen.

The 40-year-old Lesnar has been a massive main event draw for the WWE since his return in 2012, and he's been paid handsomely. There's obviously a great working relationship between Lesnar and WWE officials, so it's hard to envision him leaving the squared circle in the near future.

Especially when you consider just how much money he makes as a part-timer performer.
