The Tennessee Titans handed the New England Patriots one of their biggest blowout losses in the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era, picking up a crucial 34-10 victory at Nissan Stadium.

This win had plenty of storylines before kickoff. Titans head coach Mike Vrabel played for the Patriots from 2001-08 and won three Super Bowls with them. GM Jon Robinson worked in the Pats front office for many years.

And, oh yeah, Malcolm Butler and Dion Lewis left New England in the offseason to sign with Tennessee. Butler was hurt after getting benched in Super Bowl 52, while Lewis felt as though the Patriots didn't think he was good enough.

We don't get to say this often, but somebody finally got the last laugh on Belichick. Lewis and the Titans dominated in every aspect of the game. And when it was over, Lewis poured some salt into the wound.

"Hell yeah it’s personal," Lewis said, via Emily Proud of WKRN. "That’s what happens when you go cheap, you get your a** kicked!"

Lewis signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the Titans in the offseason, reuniting with former New England teammate Logan Ryan. He had 57 rushing yards and two catches for 11 yards against his former team, and the Titans picked up a big win to move to 5-4 on the season.

The Titans last beat the Patriots in 2002, Brady's second season as a starter. And they did it in fashion here.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota caught a pass, the Titans didn't turn the ball over once and they pummeled the Patriots with 150 rushing yards. Tennessee played nearly flawless football throughout, holding off yet another signature Brady comeback. The Patriots just never stood a chance in this game.

Lewis joins a long list of former Patriots players who voiced their displeasure over how things were handled leading up to their departure. But this time, it was the player who got revenge against Belichick.
