A week after the odd couple of Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins became Tag Team Champions, another brand new team won the chance to face them.

Seth Rollins is no stranger to being a double champion during Clash of Champions season. In 2015, The Architect was tasked with defending the WWE and United States Championships at the PPV. Four years later, he is staring down the barrel of another night of double duty. This time, he will need to defend the Tag Team and Universal titles back-to-back.

Last week on Raw, Rollins and Braun Strowman defeated Gallows & Anderson to become Raw Tag Team Champions. On the bright side for Rollins, the man he will defend those titles with will be his opponent for the Universal Championship later in the evening at Clash of Champions. That means both champion and challenger will have the handicap of having to wrestle another match before the main event.

So how many titles will this odd couple tag team have by the end of the night? Well, that all depends on how formidable the other odd couple tag team who they'll be facing is on the night. On Raw this week, eight teams competed in a Tag Team Turmoil match for the chance to become number one contenders.

Not only did the makeshift team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode win the match, they did it in style. FYI, a Tag Team Turmoil match is just a gauntlet match for tag teams. Ziggler and Roode entered the match fourth and managed to defeat the remaining four teams to enter. That included Heavy Machinery, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, Lucha House Party, and The Revival.

It seems as if the only way to make Vince McMahon take an interest in the tag division is by pairing up random singles stars. That being said, we are sort of okay with it in this instance. We like the angle unfolding between Rollins and Strowman, and welcome any chance to see more of Roode in a WWE ring. We wouldn't be surprised to see him and Ziggler win the titles at Clash of Champions. The current champions will have a bigger match on their minds after all.
