It would seem that Maxel Hardy is in possession of the 24/7 Championship, but we're not sure whether he actually won it.

Since the 24/7 Championship was unveiled a few weeks ago, it has mainly been held by R-Truth. The veteran is already a five-time champion as every time he has lost the title, he has won it right back again. Earlier this week, Truth lost the title to Drake Maverick. However, three days have passed and the five-time champion is yet to win the title back.

The assumption is that Maverick will lose the title at his wedding. The 205 Live GM has been posting photos of himself wearing the title all week long, including some snaps at his wedding. Other wrestlers in the vicinity are Maverick's groomsmen Braun Strowman and EC3, and also Matt Hardy. Plus, Maverick's old foe King Maxel is also in attendance.

RUMOR: WWE WANTS TO SWITCH THE 24/7 TITLE AT DRAKE MAVERICK'S WEDDING

That last name is the one Maverick needs to be on the lookout for. While Maverick and Maxel were in Impact Wrestling, the latter pinned the former in what is still his only ever match to date. Particularly embarrassing for Maverick since Maxel was a toddler at the time. On Thursday, the GM posted a photo of the two of them holding hands with the caption "Buried the hatchet. He's promised not to pin me."

However, a video posted on Maxel's Twitter would suggest otherwise. It shows the little one running through a crowd of people at Maverick's wedding with the 24/7 Title in hand. What isn't clear is whether Maxel is now champion or has simply stolen the title. It's entirely possible that Maxel pinned Maverick and WWE filmed it to show at a later date, perhaps even sometime today. Maverick also tweeted "WORST. DAY. EVAH." A pretty odd thing to say on your wedding day.

If that is the case, we'd be surprised if WWE was okay with Maxel posting what is effectively a spoiler on social media. That being said, we are adamant that there will be some sort of 24/7 Title angle at Maverick's wedding. The former Impact star's wife Renee Michelle is also a wrestler, so we imagine she would understand the business being a part of her special day.
