Drew Brees Officially Beats Every Team In The NFL

They needed a little bit of luck, but the New Orleans Saints defeated the Baltimore Ravens 24-23 on Sunday, and quarterback Drew Brees has now beaten all 32 teams at least once in his career.

Brees completed 22 passes for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns on Sunday, moving the Saints to 5-1 on the season. New Orleans surrendered a late touchdown to Ravens' wide receiver John Browns, but kicker Justin Tucker missed the first extra point attempt of his career that would have tied the game.

The Saints recovered the ensuing onside kick to preserve the victory, while Tucker and the Ravens were left in absolute shock about what had transpired. It's only fitting that Brees' first win against Baltimore came via Tucker's first missed extra point. It wasn't pretty, but the Saints will take it any day.

Baltimore's top-ranked defense - which hadn't surrendered a second half touchdown all season - kept Brees and the Saints in check for most of the day. New Orleans was held to seven points through the first three quarters, but Brees got the engine going in the final frame.

Alvin Kamara kick started the comeback with a two-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. Michael Thomas caught a five-yard touchdown pass with 4:58 left, and kicker Will Lutz added a late field goal to increase the lead by seven.

Brees also threw his 500th career touchdown to tight end Benjamin Watson in the second quarter. He is now just 37 away from tying Peyton Manning (539) for the most in a career. To get the milestone touchdown and to finally beat Baltimore - via a clutch performance in the fourth quarter - was simply signature Brees. And he still hasn't thrown an interception all season.

Brees lost to the Ravens when he was a member of the San Diego Chargers in 2003. He had lost 2006, 2010 and 2014 meetings to Baltimore as part of the Saints. But finally, the league's all-time passing leader made history by beating the Ravens. All 32 teams can now brag about losing to the passing yards king at least once.
