Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz were the latest Superstars to make an appearance on Table For 3, even though there are four of them.

There are a handful of matches that have become so iconic and so synonymous with WWE that they now have their very own pay per view named after them. Hell In A Cell, Elimination Chamber, and Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. The last of those three examples was made famous by six men, to begin with anyway, The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge and Christian.

It all started with a triangle ladder match. All three teams in what can only be described as a car crash of a match, and we mean that in a complimentary way. For some reason it was decided that ladders alone were not enough, so tables and chairs were added to the mix. With that, TLC was born, and for the first couple of outings, the six men above were the only ones who competed in those matches.

The three teams enjoyed a mini-reunion at this year's Hall Of Fame when Bubba Ray and D-Von were inducted as a part of the 2018 class. The Hardys and Edge and Christian recently enjoyed a longer reunion however on WWE Network's Table For 3. The very title of the show gives away that normally there are only three Superstars chatting over dinner, but this was the perfect time to break that rule.

As you can imagine, most of the conversation revolved around those early years in WWE. How the four of them became friends and put together the legendary TLC matches. Matt Hardy recalls bumping into Stone Cold backstage right after their first ladder match together in 1999 and Austin telling him they had stolen the show. "That was overwhelming praise considering he was the hottest guy ever at that time," Hardy recalled.

What's a shame is that we will never see the two history-making teams go up against each other ever again now that Edge and Christian are retired. We still have Matt and Jeff in WWE right now though, and both men are rolling back the years. Plus, on an even brighter note, it doesn't look like either of them plan on hanging up their wrestling tights any time soon.
