It's no secret Edge is out for a while, plus when he returns he has his hands full with Randy Orton. But, recent news that Edge would like a match with NXT star Finn Balor opens up the door to a world of possibilities that could include both Edge, Orton, and some deserving NXT talent.

Since Edge and Balor both want to make the match happen and potentially at NXT UK Takeover: Dublin, is there an opportunity to involve more than just these two? Since the pay-per-view has been moved from its originally scheduled for April 26th date and now to October 25th, the answer is yes. That said, how would this work?

Edge has publicly said that he's got a bucket list of stars he wants to work with, many of which include NXT talent. Randy Orton recently said he's up for a couple of feuds with NXT stars, he recently took shots at names like Tomasso Ciampa. Why not incorporate a few people into any future storyline?

Obviously, Edge and Orton need to have Chapter 3 in their own personal saga, but what about afterward? Vince McMahon is looking to feature new stars and push new feuds. There's no better way to do that than working two of the great veterans into the mix. Orton might be at his all-time peak as a performer and Edge has a lot to offer. The amount guys like Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and Ciampa could learn is incredible.

Balor Is The Easy Segway

Edge vs, Balor is only the start of what could become a natural crossover between the brands. He's been a WWE star on the main roster and is now back in NXT and hotter than ever.

So, while fans will have to wait some time for this match to happen, there's no reason not to build towards more interaction between the stars of NXT, Raw, and SmackDown. That way, when Edge and Orton have their final battle, there are ready-made feuds in the burner WWE can immediately turn to.
