WWE and its Superstars are busy hurtling down the road to this year's WrestleMania. In recent years, Elimination Chamber has been a regular stop on that road, and this year is no different. A number of Superstars will have to step inside one of wrestling's most unforgiving structures, and others will be involved in various other matches on the PPV. Elimination Chamber will air live on February 21, 2021, exclusively on the WWE Network. For fans in the US, this will be the last PPV on the Network before it moves to Peacock. Elimination Chamber will begin at 7 pm EST, and the kickoff show will air live starting an hour earlier.

Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship

via WWE

It doesn't matter how nice a guy you are. When you're WWE Champion, there's a target on your back. A target that will earn you a lot of enemies. Drew McIntyre is no idiot and is well aware of that. However, he won't be relishing the chance to defend his title against five Superstars at the same time. Especially when two of those Superstars, Randy Orton and Sheamus, have been causing him a lot of problems as of late. Plus, the winner of this match might well book themselves a spot opposite Edge at WrestleMania.

Unlike McIntyre, Roman Reigns decided to have Paul Heyman comb through his contract to find a way for him to avoid defending his title inside the Chamber. Heyman found the loophole Reigns wanted, and this is the outcome. Six men will compete inside of a second Chamber match on this show, but not for a title. The winner will instead have a chance to face Reigns for the Universal Championship as soon as their number one contender match is done. Incredibly unfair, but all six men will give it their all nonetheless.

Bobby Lashley vs. Riddle vs. Keith Lee for the United States Championship

via WWE

It's taken a while, but WWE seems to have discovered the best way to showcase Bobby Lashley. A lot of the credit has to go to MVP. Lashley's career has gone from strength to strength since MVP made him the focal point of The Hurt Business. Lashley is also working wonders with the US Title. However, it will be in real jeopardy at Elimination Chamber. Lashley will need to survive a match including not just Riddle, but also Keith Lee.

Asuka vs. Lacey Evans for the Raw Women's Championship

via WWE

Lacey Evans will take a break from tormenting Charlotte Flair to have a pop at Asuka at Elimination Chamber. Truth be told, Evans winning this match would probably irritate Flair more than anything she has done so far. Evans actually beat Flair to earn herself this title shot. It was hardly a resounding win, though. The Queen let her temper get the better of her and went off on Evans to such an extent that she got disqualified. Asuka won't afford Evans the same privilege. Even if she does, the title wouldn't change hands via a DQ finish anyway.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair for the Women's Tag Team Championships

via WWE

SmackDown arrived on Friday and WWE appeared to realize Sunday's PPV card was still a little sparse. Enter the Women's Tag Team Champions and a couple of impromptu champions. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair, who appear destined to clash at WrestleMania, will put their differences aside in an attempt to dethrone Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. If The Boss wins, she will be the first Superstar ever to hold the Tag Team Titles three times.
