The Rock is one of the busiest men in Hollywood right now. However, he is yet to land himself a role in the MCU.

There was a time when Hulk Hogan was the most recognizable pro wrestler on the planet. That title now goes to The Rock. Rock has transcended the wrestling business like no one else who has come before him. He's the busiest man in Hollywood and honestly, we don't know where he finds the time to be a part of so many projects.

Later this summer, Rock's Fast And Furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw will hit theaters. FYI, that movie will also feature the big screen debut of Roman Reigns. Later this year, Rock will star in the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. On top of all that, he has also been recruited to join the DC Universe as Black Adam. However, the one franchise Rock hasn't been able to find his way into yet is the MCU.

That doesn't mean he isn't on the mind of those responsible for what happens in the MCU, though. At the 2019 MTV Movie Awards, Avengers: Endgame director Anthony Russo was asked what he thinks would be the perfect role for Rock in the MCU, reports Comic Book. Russo had an answer, but it felt like a little bit of a cop-out.

"The superhero that I would most like The Rock to play is The Rock. He is the best version of him," Russo replied. Not the answer we were hoping for. However, for the man himself, it seems as if that's exactly what he wanted to hear. After hearing about the quote, Rock tweeted "I was born to play this role. Literally. I’ll call you tonight Russo Bros!!!"

On the one hand, a Rock cameo in the MCU where he plays himself might be quite entertaining. A 30-second interaction between The People's Champ and Thor would be something we'd love to see. However, if that happens, it means Rock won't be able to play a recurring character down the line. If it is going to happen, those in charge of piecing together the MCU need to be certain that they won't have another role for Rock in the future.
