New York Knicks star Enes Kanter is very serious about becoming a wrestler when he retires and has revealed that talks with the WWE are already underway.

According to a story from Vice Sports, the player, who loves American TV and learned a bit of his English watching shows such as Jersey Shore and Spongebob Squarepants, is obsessed with the WWE and is keen on becoming a part of the business when his basketball career is over.

“I’m actually talking to the people over there now. Vince McMahon, he knows me,” Kanter told the publication.

“I had dinner with [Paul Heyman] two, three days ago. I asked him how long he’s gonna do this and he said ‘as long as Brock [Lesnar] goes, I go, and then I’m with you.’ I’m like yes! Seriously. I’m really serious about it.”

Kanter, 26, once came out to play a college match mimicking The Undertaker in his introduction but was so starstruck when he met the man in the flesh some months back, his legs shook, per the report.

“It was funny as hell, and the fans flipped out,” Kentucky head coach John Calipari recalled. “There were people falling from the upper deck to the lower deck when he came out.”

The center, who hails from Turkey, moved to the United States in 2009 after a year playing professionally with native ball club Fenerbahce and would play his college ball with the Kentucky Wildcats.

He averaged an NBA career-high 18.7 points over the course of the 2014-2015 season while with the Oklahoma City Thunder. And, having moved to New York last year, the center recorded an average of 14.1 points.

This season, Kanter has posted a double-double in each of his three games for the Knicks and he's the first New York player to average such in three straight games for the team since 2007 (20.7 points and 12.0 rebounds).

The team is 1-2 after Saturday night's loss to the Boston Celtics but they do look improved, even in the absence of Kristaps Porzingis.
