WWE has suspended cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore after allegations of sexual assault surfaced.

WWE RAW's 25 Anniversary and WrestleMania season is not kicking off to a good start. Today, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was accused of sexual assault by a woman via Twitter. The story on this is wild, and not good for Amore. If true, WWE has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual assault and he likely would not remain employed.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE suspended Enzo Amore following these allegations as police are now investigating the Superstar. Arizona police are investigating into the situation regarding Enzo allegedly raping a woman in a hotel room there late last year. The woman came forward with her story on Jan. 22, 2018, via Twitter, but so far her name is hidden by her social media handle.

A representative for the Phoenix Police Department confirmed that a report was filed and the incident is still under investigation. The big deal on this is that while the woman may have come forward publicly today, the report being filed beforehand means that this has been in the ether for quite some time. PWS claimed that a bulk of the investigation is complete and the police are just waiting on lab results to confirm if anything is there. Obviously, we won't know until they know.

Sources claim that the incident allegedly happened on Oct. 19, 2017, in the early morning hours. Enzo Amore's Instagram handle proves he was in the area the day before and returned to Los Angeles the next night.

A representative for WWE told Pro Wrestling Sheet regarding Enzo Amore being suspended:

"WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”

Her Side Of The Story

For her side of the story, there is a lot of detailed material. Her report of the encounter from Twitter today is graphic. Obviously, this involved Enzo Amore according to her, but it also apparently involved another person whom she claims set up the whole situation and she even alleges it has happened to others. Remember, it is all alleged until proven otherwise. She wrote on Twitter:

"OKAY..it’s been long enough & I have been so so scared to share this. I was raped in mid October by the WWE Enzo Amore (also known as Eric Arden) & Tyler Grosso & TOOPOOR let it happen as accomplices. I was in a mental hospital for 45 days after it. They ARE NOT good people.”

She would go on to say:

"The original question TOOPOOR asked me was if I would suck Enzo’s d***. I said possibly but if I wasn’t down she said we could all just hang out. Then they got me way f***ed up & they left knowing what was about to happen. When Enzo the WWE guy started coming on to me I was passed out on the couch. I said “I want to get to know you first before doing anything.” He replied, “B***h I have 1 million followers on instagram…you should be begging for this d***.” & then he restrained me & it happened. I never would be this dramatic about something like this but I want you all to know that I would’ve left if I could. I was in psychosis- I had no idea what was going on. I remember bits &pieces & I have constant flashbacks..My mental issues have been the worst ever & i suffer from major PTSD from it."

While the story on her part has been said, Enzo Amore has yet to respond to this. WWE's suspension of Amore could mean he'll be stripped of the Cruiserweight Championship. Being stripped of it and a new champion crowned at The Royal Rumble this Sunday could easily happen. Since investigations like this take time, we'll have to wait for the results before Amore is cleared to return.
