Eric Bischoff will always be remembered as the number one hurdle that almost crushed WWE back during the Monday Night War. As the main-man behind WCW, Bischoff was responsible for a number of ideas, but none greater than the nWo, which changed the face of professional wrestling and was so popular, WCW boasted some of the highest ratings ever for a wrestling show. Since those days, groups similar to the New World Order have popped up, but perhaps no group is as close as the Bullet Club.

The Bullet Club is a group of wrestlers—similar to nWo—who takes out their opponents with a gang-style mentality, claiming to run the show everywhere they go. Right now, they can be seen in mostly New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor. They wear black and white, hold up the "Too Sweet" sign and bring in new members on a regular basis, much like the nWo used to do. As similar as some fans view the group to be, Bischoff doesn't see them as a rip-off, even though he could.

During an interview with The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, Bischoff was asked if he thinks Bullet Club stole his idea. He answered, "I don't look at it as a rip-off honestly. I think it has roots in the nWo and I don't think that can be denied and I don't think they are trying to deny it but I think it is more than an homage and I think it is more an extension but certainly its roots creatively speaking are in the nWo. But rip-off to me is something negative and disparaging and I think the Bullet Club is cool."

Bischoff is not alone in thinking the group is cool. Bullet Club merchandise flies off the shelves and online sales for the factions t-shirts have seen Ring of Honor and New Japan make a mint off fan interest.

Bischoff does admit that people should be careful when copying mannerisms like the Too Sweet sign because he says, "If you took a bunch of guys that didn't have the right vibe and didn't have it, or couldn't deliver in the ring, and just didn't have that really unique attitude, and they were doing the same things that the Bullet Club is now doing [it wouldn't work]."

Call them the same, call them different, call them whatever you want. But, it's wise to call them popular because both the Bullet Club and nWo were among the most popular groups ever created in professional wrestling.
