Eva Marie appears to be nearing a WWE return, despite there still being no official word from WWE as to whether she has resigned or not.

If Vince McMahon has proved anything during his time as chairman of WWE, it's that no matter what, the door to his company is never closed. His relationships with the likes of Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, and Bruno Smmamrtino have proven that. No matter how broken his and WWE's relationship might be with a former employee, there is almost always a way back.

It's why after almost seven years, so many fans remain hopeful that one day, CM Punk will wrestle in a WWE ring one more time. That still seems unlikely. The return of Eva Marie, on the other hand, seems almost nailed on at this point. There have been rumors that Marie signed a new contract with WWE since October, and apparently, she has been training at the Performance Center since September.

When rumors regarding a Marie return first started to swirl, it was believed that she would be a part of the 2020 Draft. Two months later and we are still yet to see Marie return or even hear WWE mention her. However, according to a new report from Fightful, Marie was backstage during the December 14, 2020, episode of Raw.

Marie was reportedly dressed to cut promos during her flying visit. It's unclear whether she actually cut any promos and if she did, when they will air or what they were for. There have also been reports that Marie will return to Raw this coming Monday for Legends Night. WWE has already announced a lot of names for the show, including Carlito who will return to WWE TV for the first time in over a decade.

No word yet on whether Marie will be on the show or not, though. Even though it seems almost certain that she will return to WWE TV very soon at this point, the role she will play is yet to be confirmed. Her visits to the PC would suggest she will be wrestling again, but it's also possible she acts as someone's manager, or that she is working with WWE on a project that doesn't require her to be attached to a roster at all.
