A fan managed to get a "Fire Velveteen Dream" sign on-screen at SummerSlam thanks to his ThunderDome spot.

WWE debuted its ThunderDome concept on SmackDown on Friday night and rolled it out again Sunday night at SummerSlam. In fact, it will be the norm for every WWE show going forward, not including NXT. For those who are yet to see it, the ThunderDome includes more than 2000 LED boards on which fans watching on at home are shown in real-time to simulate a live crowd.

Fans need to apply to be a part of the ThunderDome, and those who make the cut must adhere to a strict set of rules. Those rules include not smoking on-screen, and also various rules on what they're allowed to wear. WWE merch is preferred, and anyone caught wearing an AEW t-shirt will receive a ban.

The one thing WWE likely thought it would get a welcome reprieve from is having to police crowd signs it doesn't want to make the air. Turns out that hasn't exactly been the case. As Sasha Banks made her way to the ring at SummerSlam, one of the screens behind her featured a message WWE would not have wanted to make air. A sign that read "Fire Velveteen Dream" filled the screen.

Velveteen Dream returned to NXT TV earlier this month for the first time since some very serious allegations were made against him. Allegations pertaining to messages he apparently sent to underage boys. Triple H has addressed the situation, claiming WWE investigated the claims and discovered nothing. However, it would appear that not everyone is convinced that's true.

As for the fan who held up the sign, that was Remi Steele. Steele took credit for the sign on Twitter after it was spotted and highlighted by numerous fans. However, it also caught the eye of WWE officials. Steele would soon reveal that he was removed from the ThunderDome and greeted with a message thanking him for his participation. Chances are he won't be getting his seat back anytime soon.
