When you think of luchadors and lucha libre wrestling, you usually think of small, quick wrestlers who are able to execute a frantic style with lots of high spots. Guys like Rey Mysterio Jr. and the Guerreros made luchadors mainstream in the 1980s and 1990s all across the globe.

When you think of luchadors what you don't often think about is a 315 pounder in the division. But that's how it appeared at the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl media session as defensive tackle Fletcher Cox put on a luchador mask.

“This mask was a gift from a guy in Mexico,” Cox said. “He told me if I put this on, I’d have super powers and he said if anybody asked me what kind of power I had, don’t tell them because I probably make them disappear.”

Do you feel powerful?

“All you got to do is grab me and I’ll show you,” he said.

Fletcher said the mask feels good which is odd considering how tight it looks. He wore the mask throughout his media session and it was quite humorous to see him break down the Patriots' offensive line while acting like the mask isn't even there.

With Cox's burly physique, one wrestling fan thought he looked like a recently-retired WWE legend:

Cox won't be coming off the top rope vs. in the Super Bowl, but the Eagles will need his finishing move in order to upset the Patriots. He is arguably the Eagles best defensive player and ESPN even ranked him as the fourth-best player in the Super Bowl behind No. 1 Tom Brady, No. 2 Rob Gronkowski and No. 3 Jason Kelce.

If the Eagles are able to pull off the upset, then they will likely be gifted a custom-made championship belt (provided the New England-raised Triple H doesn't get his feelings hurt if his hometown Patriots lose). WWE typically rewards champion teams and athletes with belts and it would be nice to see Cox wearing the belt, and mask, together.
