When people come out of retirement you wouldn't expect them to go jump right back into their old job. But Floyd Mayweather JR is not the average person. The battle he's now involved in is supposed to go down at the Super Saitama Arena in Japan on Dec. 31, 2018.

The undefeated boxer is said to be coming out for Japan's RIZIN FF 14 event, which is set to be the ground where Mayweather fights yet another undefeated kickboxer, Tenshin Nakusawa.

The rules are going to be different since it's a special fight, but have not been decided yet. Both fighters come from different disciplines. There's the reality that Nakusawa is a kickboxer and Mayweather is a boxer. These two sports, while similar, have many different rules. On top of this, Mayweather never actually fought in a mixed martial arts sector, which could put him at a disadvantage.

Another thing that's going to hold Mayweather down is the simple fact that he was in retirement since his highly advertised fight against Conor McGregor. That was in August 2017 but he won, so with enough training, the veteran boxer could pull out another victory.

The fight is going to be good for a few reasons. One of which is that no matter what, both of these people are not going to settle for a draw. This means that they with almost the utmost amount of certainty, make sure one of them does not leave the arena with the undefeated title.

Mayweather currently has a record of 50-0 while Nakusawa apparently has a score of 27-0 in kickboxing. So, while Mayweather has far more experience in the ring, given the year off, he'll need to get his head back in the game, something that Nakusawa doesn't have to do.

There's also the reality that a ton of cash will be made off this fight. With publicity already starting to gain traction, it's only going to increase as the date starts to roll in. This means that Mayweather and Nakusawa will be making good money no matter what.
