Floyd Mayweather didn't need more than 140 seconds to defeat Tenshin Nasukawa in their exhibition match on Monday.

The retired boxer recorded a win in the first round by flooring his 20-year-old opponent three times in a bout scheduled for three three-minute rounds.

The fight, which was worth a reported $9 million, took place in Tokyo Japan in front of a healthy audience but was delayed for several hours, prompting social media rumors of a no-show as it was reported that organizers could not locate Mayweather.

Well, Floyd showed up eventually and, during an unscheduled intermission, he urged fans to go watch the event at his Las Vegas strip club.

As mentioned above, the fight only lasted 140 seconds, with Nasukawa's team throwing in the towel after the Japanese was knocked down three times.

Mayweather, though, insisted that he's still retired after the fight.

"It was all about entertainment. We had fun," he said, via BBC. "Tokyo, you were amazing, but I'm still retired. We're both still undefeated. Tenshin is still a champion and a great fighter."

The undefeated boxer also earned some real bank as a result of the short-lived exhibition and earned his keep in way less time than he had predicted.

"What if I told you I was making $9,000,000 for 9 minutes of sparring in Tokyo Japan would you do the same if you were me?" he wrote on Instagram during the build-up to the match. "I like to call it a 9 minute walk thru."

Nasukawa was also quite confident he would come out on top.

"People in Japan, listen. I will take down Mayweather," he said before the fight"You should look forward to it."

Mayweather was full of encouraging words for his latest opponent following the victory, however.

"Hold your head up high," he told Nasukawa directly. "I want the fans around the world to support Tenshin, he's a great guy and a great champion."

What This Means

There was never any doubt that Mayweather would emerge from the match victorious but, apparently, not even he thought it would end so quickly.

Nasukawa is a star in his own right, having gone undefeated as a kickboxer with a 27-0 record, as well as 4-0 as a mixed martial arts fighter. Going up against Floyd, though, he looked way out of his depth.
