Not only will SmackDown Live move to FOX in September 2019 but apparently there will also be a WWE studio show on Fox Sports 1.

Last week, the news was leaked that FOX had managed to attain the contract for SmackDown Live. The network paid a massive $1 billion in order to get the show from NBCUniversal's USA Network, so from September 2019 the blue brand will be airing on FOX and will move to Friday nights. Since then all sorts of details have leaked pertaining to how the deal went down.

Rupert Murdoch, the chairman and CEO of FOX, has made quite a few comments this week detailing how he and his network managed to secure WWE's business. Murdoch claimed that NBCU was embarrassed by WWE programming, although that may be a little hard to believe. They are planning to keep Raw on their network after all and will have to pay big money in order to do so.

Apparently, there is also the promise of more WWE programming being broadcast on FOX. While SmackDown Live will presumably be on the network's lead channel, there will also be a WWE studio show on Fox Sports 1. The Hollywood Reporter divulged these details but as of right now, nobody seems to know anything more about the studio show, whether it will feature wrestling or not.

A studio show could really be anything. It could be a lesser show that features even more wrestling, or it could be some sort of talk show. Considering it's SmackDown Live that will be on FOX, perhaps we could even see a return of Talking Smack in September 2019. If that does happen it would likely be very different to the Talking Smack that we know, and Vince McMahon will probably be paying a lot more attention since it's on FS1.

The only thing that is for certain when it comes to WWE's deal with FOX right now is that by the time September 2019 rolls around, there will have been a lot of changes put in place ready to go. WWE's travel schedule will need to change completely since one of their biggest shows will be moving from Tuesdays to Fridays, and evidently, there will be a new studio show to worry about each and every week too.
