Mitch Trubisky led the Chicago Bears to redemption on Monday night, a 24-17 home victory over the Seattle Seahawks eight days after an embarrassing second half collapse against the Green Bay Packers.

The 25-year-old Trubisky shrugged off a couple of interceptions in Monday's contest, completing 25 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns. He added 24 rushing yards on five carries, tuning in a much finer performance after a mediocre showing vs. the rival Packers in Week 1.

Despite Trubisky's solid play on Monday, Seattle defensive end Frank Clark isn't buying the hype on the second overall pick from 2017.

"He was okay.Nothing special," Clark said, per Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly. "I feel like he was okay. [He's an] average quarterback."

Trubisky was sacked twice in the contest, but was otherwise given plenty of time in the pocket by his stout offensive line. The rebuilt Seattle defense struggled to pressure Trubisky, and he was given too many chances to run the ball.

Clark also talked about how the Seahawks could have been better in defending against Trubisky.

"I felt that we should make more plays against him," Clark said. "Pressure is his downfall; the more you can get pressure up the middle and in his face, and he throws those errant passes like that, that's how you can beat him. We failed to do that enough against him."

Trubisky has yet to fully come into form for the Bears, but head coach Matt Nagy appears to be the perfect fit for the future star quarterback. One of the game's most brilliant offensive minds, Nagy has dialed up some creative play calls to help Trubisky grow more and more as a star in the early going.

Clark also added that that the Chicago defense, led by Khalil Mack, is what led the Bears to their first win of the season. But no matter what Clark thinks, the only thing that matters is that the Bears won on Sunday. His Seahawks are now 0-2 and must regroup in their home opener, when they host the 1-1 Dallas Cowboys.
