WWE has just announced that Golberg will be making his first-ever appearance on SmackDown Live this Tuesday as WWE and the former Universal Champion heads to Super ShowDown.

June 8, 2019 is the date to circle on your calendar if you're a Goldberg fan. It will be Golberg vs. The Undertaker for the first time in history. Prior to that date, Monday and Tuesday might be interesting nights to tune into WWE. On Monday, The Undertaker has been confirmed for Raw and on Tuesday, the company just announced The Undertaker's opponent, Goldberg, will be appearing on SmackDown Live for the first time.

Some will say this is WWE's answer to AEW grabbing a lot of the attention of the wrestling community these days, but this is the standard operating procedure for WWE when it comes to promoting big pay-per-views, especially on the go-home Raw and SmackDown Live that precedes it.

What exactly will Goldberg have to say? Well, a lot of that likely depends on what The Dead Man says one night earlier.

Neither competitor really has a beef with the other but for years, this has been a match fans wanted to see. That will likely be the point WWE drives home. That is, if you don't see Super ShowDown, you'll miss your one and only opportunity to see these two ever battle one another in a WWE ring.

What This Means

It will be interesting to see how welcome the crowd is to seeing Goldberg again. He's certainly an attraction but he's promotion a PPV that doesn't always get the best reception from the WWE Universe and at the same time, fans might be more interested in the company promoting its younger, more capable in-ring performers.

But, then again, this is Goldberg. People seem to get pumped up for his appearances regardless of what it is he's doing.
