Google is mostly always right. But should they be forgiven for not knowing exactly who's on the Lakers' squad simply because LeBron James has overshadowed everyone?

Second-year point guard Lonzo Ball seems to be the first victim of Google's confused algorithms. A search for the Lakers roster via the engine brings up a dude named Lorenzo Ferguson, and he's there in place of Ball, listed as a point guard.

If you input 'Lonzo Ball', he still comes up on the right side of the page usually dedicated to Wikipedia.

Unsurprisingly, no one seems to know who Lorenzo Ferguson really is or why he's being brought up in searches. For one, he looks nothing like the Lakers guard, and he's also pictured wearing a fedora hat.

To date, there's no information whatsoever on Mr. Ferguson, in fact, all of the data on him suggests that he is Lonzo Ball. Google's information states that the mystery man wears the No.2 for the Lakers and is even in a relationship with Ball's girlfriend, Denise Garcia.

Lorenzo's name is also on many of Lonzo's rap tracks.

Fortunately, there is now a case to be answered as ESPN has grown wise to the whole thing. The media house made sure to ask for a bit of clarity over Lorenzo's inclusion and maybe Google will either correct or provide an explanation.

What This Means

At the time of writing, a Google search for Lonzo Ball still brought up Lorenzo Ferguson, but without the image.

It looks like they have become aware and are slowly rectifying things. But you can imagine just how upset LaVar Ball will be when he becomes aware himself.
