Huge Development In Regards To WWE's Plan To Resume Live Events

According to a recent report, the news of WWE canceling live events isn't entirely accurate. In fact, there are plans in the works to get going again. And, it's not just that WWE might dip their toes back in, but the company may resume regular live event touring.

Earlier rumors suggested WWE might be abandoning the idea of offering house shows any longer, the story being that they felt the model was out-dated. Considering unforeseen circumstances (COVID-19) led to WWE eliminating house shows on a temporary basis, speculation was the decision might become more permanent. And, while cities and states across North America are still actively working to allow large gatherings, thus live events might not be right around the corner, @Wrestlevotes reports that internally WWE is slowly rebuilding their live event schedule. That could include hitting some cities that are approved, avoid other cities that aren't. Furthermore, if approved, WWE will adhere to social distancing guidelines and the Plexiglass fans saw on Monday's Raw may stay a permanent fixture while touring.

Expect Some Changes To Live Shows

Should WWE get the go-ahead, expect changes to live events as you've known them in the past.  Along with the Plexiglass, taller ringside barriers may be used, ticket sales and seating charts will be affected and there will be logistical obstacles to overcome, including how merchandise sales are conducted. WWE may, in the end, avoid cities that have traditionally been slow to sell tickets and focus on markets that have been easy sellouts for them in the past. That makes sense considering the additional costs WWE will incur just to produce these live shows. Next: Designer Throws Shade At AEW Over Polarizing TNT Championship Belt Design
