We could have summed this week’s Raw up with three words and one Takeaway, boring Baron Corbin. Lucky for SmackDown Live, it has a popular GM who makes interesting and exciting decisions. In fact, Paige did exactly that right at the start of Tuesday night’s show. The biggest Takeaway of all is SmackDown Live is better than Raw. You probably already knew that though, so keep reading for the rest from this week’s edition of the blue brand.

Flair vs Lynch Doesn't Need A Third Person

via wwe.com

At WWE Evolution, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair left it all in the ring during their last man standing match. With a little more than a month of 2018 left to go, it is currently the match of the year in WWE. Well, at TLC, the best friends turned bitter rivals will do it all again. This time, however, it will be in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. Unfortunately, WWE couldn't just leave it at that. Every other woman on the SmackDown Live roster came to the ring to demand they get an opportunity. That's when Paige booked a battle royal. The winner of that match would be added to Flair versus Lynch at TLC.

One Of The Usos Needs To Wear A Splash Of Color Or Something

Any identical twins probably get fed up of people not being able to tell them apart. That almost definitely counts for The Usos. That's why Jimmy and Jey normally wear ring gear that has at least one clear difference so that viewers can tell them apart. More importantly, so the announcers can tell them apart. The Usos did not do that on this week's SmackDown Live. Unless you know them very well, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart, especially while they were flying around the ring. That was evident by Tom Phillips continually getting the two of them mixed up.

AJ Styles Has A Very Short Memory

via twitter.com

This week on SmackDown Live is the first time we have seen AJ Styles since he lost the WWE Championship. The Phenomenal One explained he was out of action last week due to injuries sustained from the beating Daniel Bryan gave him. Styles had come to SmackDown Live in the hope of finding some retribution, but Bryan was not on the show. That’s when the former champ went on a rant about how he didn’t miss a single house show, SmackDown Live or PPV the whole time he was champion. Umm, we seem to remember an episode of SmackDown Live when Styles stayed at home to make sure Samoa Joe didn’t come knocking. Clearly, that occasion has slipped Styles’ mind.

Samoa Joe Went There

It has been 20 years since Jeff Hardy first signed a contract with WWE. Whether the company is including the times Hardy lied about his age and wrestled for them as a 16-year-old, we’re not sure. Either way, that’s an impressive milestone. A milestone Joe wanted to ruin. With the majority of the SmackDown Live roster standing on the stage to celebrate Hardy’s WWE anniversary, Joe’s music hit. The former NXT Champion then proceeded to do what he does best, make things both intriguing and uncomfortable. Joe took shots at Hardy’s issues with substance abuse, questioning whether he could even remember any of the moments replayed during the video package.

Maybe The TLC Match Should Be A Triple Threat

via wwe.com

As we mentioned a little earlier, SmackDown Live GM Paige booked a battle royal to decide who will be joining Flair and Lynch at TLC. As you can probably tell, we weren’t big fans of the idea. That was until we realized who was probably going to be added to the match. As we scanned the faces of everyone competing, it quickly became clear that there was only one woman who was ever going to win. Asuka. The crowd is behind her again and shock horror, WWE is actually listening to them. After a heated battle with Sonya Deville on the ring apron, The Empress finally eliminated her to win the match. Asuka is once again being pushed, and it is going to be one hell of a match between her, Lynch, and Flair at TLC.
