In a week of ratings bad news, WWE might be finally getting some good news as one of their most promising tag teams are expected back right away.

John Pollock of Post Wrestling reports that AOP (Author of Pain) is expected to return “imminently.” This likely means that Akam’s injury that was keeping the team on the shelf is doing much better and WWE will be glad to get a bump in their tag division.

WWE could really use a top tag team right now but with the Superstar Shake-up a few weeks ago, and seemingly still going on, it's hard to know where the team will end up. Raw is a much strong division than it was after last year's Shake-up and that's where AOP wound up last year, but WWE has spent more time with teams like The Revival and Usos are tied up in a back-shaving story. Meanwhile, on SmackDown, the Bar has been broken up and the Hardy Boys just relinquished the tag team titles.

Will Drake Maverick be back behind the duo to help them take aim at a certain roster or another team on the blue or red brand? WWE has not made an official announcement as to the status of the team and it could be left as a surprise for as early as this week's set of live shows.

If it happens to be this Monday, Vince is probably looking to stack the program with returns and surprises thanks to record-low ratings. Roman Reigns is already being teased for the show even though he's a SmackDown Superstar.

What This Means

This is big for the tag division to get one of its most promising teams back but in the time that Akam has been away, Rezar has been working hard and looks jacked! With the way things have gone in WWE lately, it shouldn't surprise anyone if the team doesn't stay together long and Rezar gets a huge push.
