Rumor: The IIconics To Be Pushed As The Second Coming Of LayCool

In WWE, many things can give new performers a big push, whether it be fan reaction, match consistency/quality, performance on promos and merchandise sales. If a recent report from Wrestlingnews.co is anything to go by, the latter could be resulting in a big time push for the IIconics, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Down in NXT, they were never truly pushed, but whenever given the chance, especially in their rivalry with Asuka, they shined, and if the WWE bring them along slowly and build them up, this is a very realistic push for them.

According to the report, several people in the WWE management team have been impressed by the amount of merch that their first shirt has been moving in such a short time, and it could result in “a big time push” for the former NXT stars. Since coming to the main roster, the duo hasn't been treated like a dangerous threat, but they can turn that around quite quickly. If their reported plan is anything to go by, they could be some of the best heels on the roster in no time.

This report states that the WWE are looking to transform Kay and Royce into the latest version of ‘LayCool’, the partnership that was portrayed between Layla and Michelle McCool. Considering how good they are at playing the annoying heels, this is the perfect role for them going forward. They haven’t shown too much as of yet, but when given the time and character development, Kay and Royce are fantastic as they proved in NXT, and if the WWE do indeed get behind them, they could be the women’s divisions most over stars.

So what do you guys think? Do you want to see more of The Aussies, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay? Is this a perfect role for them? Do you think they are worthy of the big push that is being reported? As always, let us know all your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below.
