Despite the partnership between Impact and Lucha Underground, the former isn't interested in Ivelisse.

Ivelisse has come a long way when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. She was first introduced to the wrestling world while she resided in her homeland of Puerto Rico and wrestled at the age of fifteen for the World Wrestling Council. She then made her way to the United States and competed as a contestant on the fifth season of WWE's Tough Enough. She was cut from the show, but that did not stop her from entering a WWE ring. She needed more practice and was ultimately sent to Florida Championship Wrestling, which later morphed into NXT.

She made her way to the independent circuit in 2012 for a very short time before getting a break when she joined TNA. She failed to receive a contract shortly after taking a loss to Lei'D Tapa in 2013, but she later appeared in TNA One Night Only: World Cup of Wrestling where her team came up short in the finals. She then appeared in Lucha Underground and has found success. Lucha Underground is partnered with Impact Wrestling, and Ivelisse expressed her concern of why she has not been picked up by Impact Wrestling.

Ivelisse sat down with Women's Pro Wrestling Weekly and spoke about her career in a recent interview. She has said that she has been asked about the joint program that involves Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground. She states that it would be a boost in her career in a positive direction: "Obviously, it's something I'd love to do and it's great exposure that would help a lot while Lucha Underground is dark." She has also revealed that she does not understand why she has not been chosen by Impact Wrestling to join their wrestling roster: "they have not asked me. And I kind of trying to figure out why ... But I'm going to keep doing my thing and one way or another I will shine."

Although Ivelisse has been wrestling for somewhere around seven years now, she is still fairly young for a professional wrestler and is perhaps in the prime of her career. Impact's decision to not add her to their roster may be based on the amount of time that she has been in the business, or they probably feel that they are not ready to hire her as of yet. If this door does not open for Ivelisse, then ROH would be a great option for her. And if she really hits the jackpot, she might be recruited by the WWE.
