Kenny Omega's involvement in Thursday's episode of Impact Wrestling did not help the show in terms of viewership as it's reported to have hit a record-low in that regard.  Omega was part of the mega main event, having teamed up with The Good Brothers to fight Sami Callihan, Moose and Chris Sabin.

According to Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston, the episode attracted just 69,000 viewers, the lowest number in the show's history on AXS TV.

Thursday's show scored a 0.02 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was reported to be the third-lowest in Impact's history on the network. To put this into context, the episode that aired on June 24 scored a 0.03 rating to draw 111,000 viewers in said demographic.

Impact tweeted that there was a glitch with the TV Guide listings on various systems that made it so the show either displayed the wrong time slot or didn't display correctly at all.

“IMPORTANT PROGRAMMING UPDATE: Sorry for any confusion but @AXSTV is having some tech issues with the guide listing, it’s business as usual for all programming tonight with BTI, IMPACT and #IMPACTin60. We recommend you double check your DVR to ensure that IMPACT is set to record," the tweet read.

Many DVRs did not record the show as a result of the wrong info being posted so it's very likely it contributed to the low viewership.

Eric Bischoff's Warning

Back in April, Eric Bischoff warned the partnership between Impact and AEW might leave Impact worse off.

"I get it, I understand why they did it,” Bischoff said on his 83 Weeks podcast. “I understand what their thinking might have been.

"If you’re Impact and you’re delivering 130,000 viewers a week, which is basically a YouTube video and you have an opportunity to get your product and your brand on a much higher profile network with 4-5 times the audience you have, why wouldn’t you do that? I get that, there’s nothing wrong with the logic, but what have the dividends been so far? Have Impact’s ratings gone up week after week after week after week?”
