Because Impact Wrestling doesn't have a big television rights deal, it's hard to imagine they'll match WWE or AEW until that day ever comes. And, it may not. That said, their Slammiversary numbers they shared on Tuesday were pretty good and suggests they might be on track to make a dent in the wrestling world.

Impact will air on Twitch tonight and coming off a strong Slammiversary pay-per-view, there is a lot of buzz going into that show, one that will feature the Good Brothers and Heath Slater, potentially among others. Before the show, Impact shared some pretty impressive numbers from the event and social media stats that show the promotion is making up some ground in the wrestling industry.

Wrestlers for the company have been heavily promoting tonight's show and the company itself is talking about their momentum building event. They say Slammiversary shattered social media records for the company, Twitter impressions for the Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson joining Impact was their highest-performing post ever, and there's more great news ahead.

The company added a number of names from WWE's recently released roster, including EC3, Heath Slater, Eric Young, and The Good Brothers. That has brought in WWE fans who followed those stars on social media and want to support their next endeavors. They pay-per-view also included three title changes and new belt designs.

Twitter impressions double and Instagram reactions went up 172%.

Is Impact Onto Something?

The question will be if all this buzz can be maintained and if Impact can take this momentum and build it into something sustainable. There won't be many opportunities like the one Impact just seized and now its up to them to make the most of it, turning one-time fans into regulars.

If Impact can prove the stars WWE dumped are actually marketable and will draw viewers, do they have a chance to climb the ladder of viewed wrestling programs? So far, it's looking good.
