Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone appears to be on the hot seat as a disappointing season winds down, but don't think for a second that cornerback Jalen Ramsey is worried about it.

Asked after the game what he thinks about the future of Marrone, Jalen Ramsey refused to give an answer and explained the only person he's worried about one person.

"I ain’t worried about nobody but myself," he said after the game, according to Phillip Heilman of the Florida Times-Union.

Following the game, Ramsey took to Twitter and added another take on the possibility of having a new head coach in Jacksonville next year.

Jacksonville reached the AFC Championship Game last season and entered this season as a heavy favorite to reach the Super Bowl this year. They lived up to the hype early with a 31 start, highlighted by a 31-20 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 2 - an AFC title game rematch.

But things have gone downhill for the Jaguars ever since, due in large part to struggles from quarterback Blake Bortles, who has since been benched in favor of Cody Kessler. The Jaguars have lost nine of their last 10 games now and are guaranteed to finish last in the AFC South division.

Whether or not the front office decides to move on from Marrone is anybody's guess. It's unusual for a coach to be fired a year after guiding his team to the playoffs. In this case, Marrone nearly led them to a Super Bowl appearance, so firing him after one down season seems a bit premature.

What This Means

Marrone is a defensive-minded head coach, and the Jacksonville defense has been among the NFL's best this season. It's only the offense that's holding this team back, and it's up to the front office to bring in the right players to help change all of this.

It would make sense to give Marrone at least one more year to try and rebuild Jacksonville into a championship contender, because there aren't many candidates available with better resumes than Marrone.
