Jason Jordan required neck surgery in February and has been out of action for four months, but the former Raw Tag Team Champion is on the verge of finally returning to the ring.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that Jordan will be present at Monday Night Raw next week in Richmond, Virginia. With that, we can brace ourselves for the return of one of the WWE's top up-and-coming talents.

Jordan last appeared on the Feb. 5 episode of Raw, where he accidentally cost The Shield a tag team match. Raw GM Kurt Angle - the storyline father of Jordan - "sent him home," and he's been off of television since.

In reality, Jordan was dealing with a nagging neck injury that limited his ability in the ring. Seth Rollins - Jordan's former tag team partner - did the bulk of the heavy workload during matches. Jordan's neck woes prevented him from being able to lift his opponents, so he required a minor operation to repair the damage.

It'll be interesting to see how WWE sets up the return of Jordan. He was part of The Shield, alongside Rollins and Roman Reigns. Jordan replaced Dean Ambrose - who's been sidelined with a torn triceps injury since December.

Jordan and Rollins briefly held the Raw Tag Team Championships for 34 days, before dropping them to The Bar. Rollins has since been enjoying a run with the Intercontinental Championship, while Reigns continues to be pushed as the face of WWE while playing the "victim card," of being screwed over by company officials.

As such, there doesn't appear to be a realistic scenario in which Jordan reforms The Shield with Rollins and Reigns. Of course, anything is possible in the WWE. For all, all that matters is that Jordan is set to return.
