WWE star Jeff Hardy was arrested in South Carolina for allegedly being inebriated in public on Saturday, according to TMZ.

The popular wrestler, one half of the Hardy Boyz, was booked for public intoxication and impairment in Myrtle Beach, where he would later pose for a mugshot.

Hardy, 41, was arrested with no issue and has since been released on a bond amounting to less than $200. If convicted, he could face up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine.

The star is currently sidelined with a knee injury and is recovering from an operation he underwent earlier this year. This isn't his first brush with the law; the wrestler was arrested for DWI last year in North Carolina after being involved in a collision and blowing a 0.25 BAC into a breathalyzer.

Hardy has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction throughout his career. He served a 10-day prison sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to traffic in 2011.

The SmackDown Live performer had a stint as Brother Nero in Impact Wrestling ahead of a WrestleMania 33 return alongside his brother Matt Hardy.

The three-time WWE World Champion has won almost every singles and tag title available for winning within the promotion. Before suffering his knee injury, The Hardy Boyz were SmackDown Tag champions.

WWE has since issued a statement on the matter. “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions,” it reads.

To be fair, Jeff has come a long way and is pretty much a family man nowadays. But such arrests will always be a possibility as long as he keeps consuming alcohol. Let's hope he doesn't get slapped with another jail sentence.
