It is looking more and more likely that Jeff Hardy will have to push through his injuries and continue wrestling until at least SummerSlam.

There was once a time in professional wrestling where performers were simply expected to continue to work through their injuries. Unless it was something that meant you physically couldn't climb up into a ring and compete, the men and women of the business just powered through. While that is no longer the case, it probably still happens more often than some fans might think.

Nowadays it is probably more a case of the wrestler wanting to power through and them having to convince the promotion that they can continue rather than the other way round. That might very well be the case with Jeff Hardy right now. According to Cageside Seats, despite the reported injuries that Hardy is suffering from he will likely continue to wrestle until at least SummerSlam.

A little over a week ago at Extreme Rules, Hardy lost the United States Title to Shinsuke Nakamura in very short order. That sparked rumors that The Charismatic Enigma was about to take some time off to recover from the injuries he has recently been suffering from. However, two days later Hardy cashed in his rematch clause and put on a full match versus the new champion.

While it has been reported that Hardy is injured, the exact extent of what the veteran has going on at the moment is unknown. What we do know is that he has been feeling numbness in his fingers and has also been avoiding using the Swanton Bomb at WWE live events, reserving it for television matches only. Whatever it is he is struggling with clearly he and WWE are of the belief that he can battle through it.

If WWE does want Hardy to push on through until SummerSlam then creative must have something big planned for him. Right now, there is something going on between Hardy, Nakamura, and a returning Randy Orton but it isn't exactly clear what that is yet. Perhaps the three of them will compete in a triple threat match for The King Of Strong Style's US Title at SummerSlam.
