Jerry Lawler will be hosting a special King's Court segment this Tuesday on SmackDown Live with former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus.

The WWE Hall of Famer announced on Twitter that he'll be back on tv for WWE and he's got a special guest. Rumored to be wrestling a match with Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, it appears WWE is going ahead with the match as Trish Stratus will be on SmackDown Live this Tuesday to chat with the King. Lawler is a logical host consider SmackDown Live is taking place from Memphis, Tennessee.

Lawler wrote, "This Tuesday night on WWE SmackDown Live from Memphis, I will be hosting a King's Court featuring my all-time favorite female Superstar, Trish Stratus!"

Seeds of a Stratus versus Charlotte match were planted last week on SmackDown Live when Flair demanded a match at SummerSlam and cried for better competition than Ember Moon. Rumors started to swirl that Stratus would be her opponent and with the announcement, both by Lawler and the WWE, it seems the rumors were right.

Like Lawler being the host in Memphis, Stratus being at SummerSlam makes a lot of sense considering the PPV will take place in Toronto this year. Stratus may be one of the most famous female Canadian performers WWE has ever employed.

What This Means

SummerSlam is one of WWE's biggest shows of the year, definitely the biggest of the summer. Trish being a part of it just cements the fact WWE is going to great lengths to make the card memorable. That Lawler will be part of the set-up for that match is also neat as he hasn't been seen on WWE tv in a long time but was a mainstay when Stratus was at the top of her game.
