Kurt Angle announced on Monday Night Raw that Baron Corbin will be his opponent at WrestleMania 35, but there's already a long list of folks who aren't on board with this match.

When Angle revealed that he would be facing Corbin, the fans booed heavily - obviously not the lease bit pleased with this being the final opponent for the Olympic gold medalist and Hall of Famer.

WWE commentator Jim Ross also expressed his disagreement with the match choice in a simple one-word tweet:

Numerous opponents had been rumored for Angle, including fellow wrestling icon - John Cena and The Undertaker. Angle said that there were plenty of superstars that he would like to compete against, but added that Corbin is the one that he "wants to beat," citing the trouble the latter caused during his Raw general manager days.

Although the Angle-Corbin feud has been one of the best in WWE going back to last summer, it's safe to say that the majority of fans were hoping for an established veteran and/or main eventer to send Angle into the sunset.

But interestingly enough, the Angle-Corbin match might not end up happening at WrestleMania. According to Justin Labar, Corbin isn't actually going to be the one who faces Angle in his retirement match.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently reported that Angle's sendoff match could be a tag team bout, and that Cena would be his partner. Meltzer added that Corbin, Samoa Joe and Bobby Lashley are among the possible opponents for Angle and (maybe) Cena.

WrestleMania 35 is only a few weeks away now, and there are still a handful of matches that need to be finalized. We should get a firm idea in the next couple of weeks as to who Angle will actually face in his swan song match.

What This Means

With all due respect to Corbin, it seems like fans have been hoping for Angle to face a bigger opponent before he retires. Corbin hasn't been a main eventer in WWE yet, and his rivalry with Angle lasted several months. The Angle-Corbin just doesn't have much of a feel to it, and the majority of fans will only hope that WWE winds up changing the opponent here.
