As reported Thursday, one-half of the Usos tag team, Jimmy Uso, was arrested in Detroit, Michigan for disorderly conduct and obstruction.

TMZ reports that according to their police sources, Usos' wife Naomi was reportedly driving down the wrong side of a one-way street when police pulled them over. The vehicle smelled of booze and while officers were speaking with Naomi, Jimmy Uso left the vehicle and "squared up" with police like he wanted to fight. He removed his jacket & shirt and after instructions from the police finally calmed down.

Reports were that one officer removed his taser out of fear for his own safety before Jimmy Uso ultimately complied with police commands. He was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction. Uso was then taken to jail … and later posted bond.

According to Wrestling Inc., WWE issued the following statement on Uso's arrest this afternoon:

"Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions."

This statement is similar to the comments WWE issued in January 2018 when Jey Uso was arrested for DUI in Texas. Jey, nor the Usos missed any WWE programming because of the incident.

What This Means

Since Jimmy Uso was not driving the car, this won't go down as a DUI and could be looked at less severely than WWE might normally. That said, this is Jimmy's third arrest since signing with WWE. He was arrested on DUI charges in March 2013 and September 2011. It also comes at an interesting time as the Usos were rumored to be among a handful of stars potentially renegotiating their contracts and using AEW as leverage to strike a new deal.

The Usos are still scheduled to challenge SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Miz and Shane McMahon at Sunday's WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and it's got to be considered a lock now that Shane-O-Mac and The Miz come away with the victory.
