John Cena understandably set tongues wagging this weekend after posting a WWE logo to his Instagram. The 16-time World Champion is pretty active on social media but, when it comes to the Gram, he’s famous for confusing and confounding as he posts random pictures without explanation.

Cena has previously explained having gotten on Instagram simply because WWE said he has to. So he will post just about anything for the hell of it. Whether or not his posting of the WWE logo is something fans should read into is for them to decide but it’s worth noting that FOX’s Twitter account posted a reaction.

NXT Champion Karrion Kross has made no secret about wanting a match with Cena, also saying he’d be honored to be the one who retires him in response to a fan’s tweet that suggested as much.

Kross was full of praise for Cena during a recent interview with BT Sport. The NXT Champ said a match with the icon is the one he would be most interested in, especially as everyone has called out others such as The Rock and Brock Lesnar.

"I think John Cena would probably be the match that I would most likely be interested in for the immediate future,” he said, per Sportskeeda.com. “Everybody has already called out The Rock. Everyone already called out Brock Lesnar. Everyone has exercised interest in seeing Scarlett and I versus The Fiend and Alexa Bliss.

“But I think having the opportunity to work with John Cena on a really big stage, hopefully with people, would be awesome, and I think it’s two different generations meeting. I attribute a lot of my modern-day inspiration to his generation. I’ve never met him before, but it’s very easy to see, very easy to tell he’s one of the hardest working people ever in this industry. He’s the reason why a lot of us have a job today. Personally, it would just be an honor to work with him.”
