Many WWE fans and pundits are unhappy over the decision to have Baron Corbin face Kurt Angle in the latter's retirement match at WrestleMania 35 - especially with rumors suggesting that John Cena would be the opponent instead.

The 16-time World Champion couldn't help but get in on the fun. On his Instagram page, Cena trolled Corbin big time with this photoshopped image:

This photo was posted two days after Rajah.com reported that Angle and other folks backstage were pushing hard for Cena to be his opponent at WrestleMania 35. But despite the fan backlash, the report also said WWE believes "the negative response is great for Corbin," suggesting that the match will stay in place anyway.

Fans anxiously awaited for Angle to reveal his final opponent on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw, and he acknowledged that there were many superstars he'd like to face - but there was only one he wanted to beat. When Angle revealed Corbin as his opponent, they were met with loud boos from the crowd.

Well, WrestleMania is now just 12 days away, and WWE is running out of time to get its card finalized for the big show. Unless something is announced on next week's episode of Raw, then it seems like WWE is indeed rolling with the Angle-Corbin match.

It's worth reporting that Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently reported that Angle and Cena could team up at WrestleMania - with Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Samoa Joe initially listed as possible opponents. But at this point, it doesn't seem like WWE is going in that direction. And if Cena doesn't end up facing or teaming up with Angle, it's anybody's guess who his opponent will be.

What This Means

Cena has always been witty and clever on his Instagram page, but this is truly one of his finer posts yet - especially given fans' overall disappointment in the Corbin-Angle match choice. We can only hope that WWE will find the right opponent for Cena at WrestleMania 35 - and that the Angle-Corbin match will be good in quality.
